WHAT: At Maokwo our minds have been on women and the current struggles we face. Isolation creativity, mental health, domestic violence, and wellness. To help combat these issues, we are hosting fortnightly online sharing sessions.

WHERE: We will meet via video conferencing online. We are currently finalising plans for the online session. We will send you a link before the session.

WHEN: Join us on Wednesday 22nd of April at 12noon we will have ur our Mental Health expert Karen Dhlamini. We will be having a relaxed creative conversation. Let’s discuss what self-worth, wellness and keeping safe means to you.

Please note if you work with vulnerable women signpost them. We are also aware not all women will be able to access this. If you know women who will benefit from this support but do not have access please let us know ([email protected]).

WHY: Maokwo is a female-led organisation. We are passionate about issues concerning women. Issues such as domestic abuse, seeking asylum, mental health, safety, and general wellbeing. These are all issues we take seriously. We are constantly seeking creative ways to support women. When the lockdown was introduced our minds went to vulnerable women in isolation. How are they feeling? How can we support them? Onboard we have a good mix of female experts who support fellow women. We work and support from a professional and lived experience perspective.

So why? It’s because we care, it’s because we know women rock! A little bit of creativity, laughter, and sharing can go a long way. #strongertogether #womentogether #womanyourock #youcan #youwill #lovewins
